We at Downtown Harbor Church place the highest importance on your family. We know that everything you do revolves around your loved ones. We believe in doing the same.
At DHC Kids, we create environments for your children that are fun, engaging and nurturing. Our ultimate purpose is to instill authentic faith and build impacting relationships.
One of the core beliefs in our ministry is that we work better when we work together. We at DHC Kids want to partner with you as parents so that the principles that a child learns go further than just on Sunday mornings.
DHC KIDS STRATEGICALLY ENGAGES FAMILIES & POSITIONS RELATIONSHIPS TO HELP DEVELOP AUTHENTIC FAITH.
Our family ministry consists of two branches: The Lagoon (nursery & preschool) and The Boardwalk (elementary).
THE LAGOON
The Lagoon is our weekly environment created especially for your infants (six weeks) through preschool-aged children. We want to incite wonder and give preschoolers the first impression of their loving heavenly Father. We desire to create a nurturing environment for your infant that shows them how their Creator cares for them. We believe that if a child internalizes by the age of four that they are loved by God, it will greatly impact who they become.
We believe in an active, hands-on approach to learning with preschool children. You can plan on a lot of playing, jumping, dancing, singing and laughter in every experience. Be on the lookout for fun crafts, big games and lots of toys.
We look forward to helping your preschoolers learn more about God.

The Lagoon is available during both the 9:00am and 10:30am services. Please label and bring diapers, bottles / toddler cups, pacifiers, a change of clothes and other necessary items.
THE BOARDWALK
At the Boardwalk, we believe in creating fun, engaging environments where the lessons are memorable and the leaders make a lasting impact. Before kids head off to middle school, we want to make sure these three things stick:
1. I need to make the wise choice.
2. I can trust God no matter what.
3. I should treat others the way I want to be treated.
Our upbeat large group programming features interactive worship and aims to show kids how to apply God’s Word to their life and have a relationship with him.
Our focus is our small group environment. We think that the best way for a kid to know God is to know someone who knows God, and our mission is to position that important relationship in your kid’s life. That’s why it’s important to make sure your child connects with the same friends and same leader at the same hour — every Sunday! The Boardwalk is available during both the 9:00am and 10:30am services.
